Woot Woot!!

I had another assessment last night at the gym....well not a full on assessment, but a body fat% check. In 12 weeks I have gone down 4% body fat! I was happy with that. It's not a ton....but it's 4%. Awesome :) Let's see where we are in another 12 weeks!

Also- I am finishing up my TEAM weightloss class this Friday! I have really enjoyed it, and have made a couple of friends along the way. I would sign up for the class again, however I feel like i have established good habits and I could do the same work outs on my own. I have decided to graduate to the TEAM fitness class! I am SO STINKIN excited! I will encorporate weights. We will be strictly doing weights on mon and fri and then cardio on wed. I think it will teach me new habits and how to effectively encorporate weights into my work out routine! yahoo!!

Also- When I started working out i had 47 lbs to lose... I am now down to only having 29 lbs to lose!! That doesn't seem too far away.

Before/ Current







5K

So I am going to be running a 5k in the beginning of August! Am I excited?? OH YA! It will be up in Flagstaff and I think my sister marcy will be running it with me....there are still a couple of other people I have to convince to come too, the more the merrier right? I think it will be a good gauge of how far I have come. Of course my time might now be the best, I might be a little slow, but I will have ran a 5k...Something I have NEVER been able to do. That has to be the best feeling ever! I am excited. The only thing that worries me is the altitude up there, but i'll handle it! Go me.. Go me!

15 lbs and counting

Well I have lost 15 lbs so far! I don't see a huge difference in the mirror...but when I looked at my "before" picture and then the now picture I can see it more. Excuse the, angry deer in the headlights, look:)

Awesome!

I did soo great with my goal to incorporate more veggies this week! It is hard to change you eating habits. So everytime I would get the snacking urge, rather than heading straight for the junk I would pull out some carrots and hummus, or make a small salad. It wasn't even that bad :) Weekends are usually the hardest part for me. I usually do so well during the week and then hit the weekend and get off track. This weekend was just a little bit different. I allowed myself some "unhealthy" snacks, while at the same time I still added my salads with me meals. I don't feel like I went completely overboard on the junk. Hooray!

Here's to another week! My total weight loss so far : 15lbs! I feel like it has been slow coming off...but I think it's because I am not perfect. Meaning I am still learning how to eat to my weight loss advantage! The work out thing I feel like I have gotten down pretty good, and for the most part my eating has not been bad, but I have my weak points, and sometimes I look at weekends as freebies. Not anymore though :)

I also applied to be in this Win, Lose, or Blog competition. It is basically like a biggest Loser for the blogging world. They have about 6-7 contestants per season (each season lasts 7 weeks) and then you just blog your experience! I really hope that I get chosen for it! I think it will be JUST the right motivation for me to continue on with my journey!

Goals for this weeks:
** drink more H2O!!
** Salad a day (plus more veggies)
** work out 5x a week

Couch to 5k

It is so hard to get back on track after a vacation. My mom and all the sisters just got back from san diego and we had a blast!! I, however, didn't watch what I ate AT ALL!! I'm sure a took a few steps backwards. Today I feel like I am in the same mode. But I ate a healthy breakfast, and am determined to get back on track!

I am starting the couch to 5k running program today! I have done 4 weeks of it before and my feet were hurt...I really hope that I am able to get through the whole thing this time. I feel like I have an advantage because I have been doing my weight loss class.

My Goals:
**Encorporate more vegetables
** Lose 8 lbs this month June 6th-July 2nd
** Work out 5 days a week
